BVB Legends Travel to Indonesia

Football fans in Indonesia are in for a treat as the Borussia Dortmund Legend Team is set to embark yet again on a tour to South East Asia. The BVB Legends, composed of iconic players from the club’s illustrious history, will touch down in Jakarta on 8 September 2023 before making their way to Bandung for the much anticipated match against Persib All Stars. 

Through this friendly match between Persib All Stars and Borussia Dortmund Legends, it is hoped that it can help develop football in Indonesia and can also add to the passion for football in Indonesia. 

Persib All Stars is a joint team of several former PERSIB players who succeeded in bringing Persib to win the Indonesian League competition in 1994/1995 and 2014/2015, as well as several other players who have now become Persib icons. 

During their three-day trip, the BVB Legends will engage in various activities with their partners and fans in both cities aimed at fostering football development, cultural exchange, and community engagement.

Among the BVB Legends squad are Marcel Schmelzer, Kevin Großkreutz, Roman Weidenfeller, Patrick Owomoyela, David Odonkor, Jan Koller, Mladen Petric, Mo Zidan, Dede, Jörg Heinrich, Ibrahim Tanko and Paul Lambert.

PERSIB All Stars team will feature I Made Wirawan as a goalkeeper, in cooperation with Robby Darwis, Gilang Angga Kusumah, Yudi Guntara, Zaenal Arief, Sutiono Lamso, Airlangga Sucipto and other former PERSIB players from various generations.

The highlight of the tour will be the match against Persib All Stars, set to take place at Siliwangi Stadium, on Sunday, September 10th, 2023, at 3 pm.

In addition to the tour, official BVB fanclubs in Asia are invited to come together as part of the Asian Fan Gathering to meet their favorite players, engage in fun activities and of course be part of the match against Persib All Stars.

Ticket sales for the friendly match between PERSIB All Stars and Borussia Dortmund Legends will be announced as soon as possible in early September 2023.
