The Sports Court of the German Football Association (DFB) has fined VfL Bochum 1848 €45,000 following the indictment by the DFB Control Committee for two counts of unsportsmanlike conduct by its supporters. Of this, the club can use €15,000 for security or violence prevention measures.

Immediately before the start of the Bundesliga match at Borussia Dortmund, a firecracker, at least 30 flares, four white and black smoke pots and three signal rockets were ignited in the visitors’ section. The latter ended up in the area of the centre circle while the players were already on the pitch.

The club agreed to the verdict and the sentence is thus legally binding.
