Alexander Richter and VfL Bochum 1848 have agreed to go separate ways. The 51-year-old has been the club’s director of youth section since 2008. He now has decided to apply himself to a new task.

Sebastian Schindzielorz, Director of Sport at VfL Bochum 1848, said: “Alexander Richter just told us that he would like to meet a new challenge and therefore resign from his contract. We regret this decision, but wish him all the best for his professional and personal future. The fact that he is going to work in a leading position for another club is again a proof for VfL Bochum’s excellent technical work that is recognised and appreciated in the business.

The plans for the upcoming season have progressed considerably, moreover the Talentwerk consists of a well working team, so that we are not in a hurry and can exercise reasonable care to find a successor.
