FCA sign young striker Lucas Ehrlich
The 19-year-old joins from Dresden
FC Augsburg are delighted to announce the signing of 19-year-old Lucas Ehrlich from Dynamo Dresden. The striker has joined on a free transfer and has signed a contract until 30th June 2027, with the option of a further year.
The 1.95m striker scored 9 goals in 15 games for Dynamo in the Under 19 Bundesliga last season and he will initially join up with FCA’s U23s before working his way into the first team. Ehrlich will therefore spend the coming weeks preparing for the new Regionalliga season.
“I’m really happy about my move to Augsburg. Those in charge have shown me a good perspective for my development. I now want to prove myself in every training session and every match and try to achieve my dream of playing in the Bundesliga through hard work,” explained Ehrlich, who can also be utilised as a winger.
“In Lucas, we have brought further young talent to FC Augsburg. He is a tall attacker with a real eye for goal. He has great potential and we are sure that he will fulfil it. However, we will also give Lucas the necessary time to be able to develop,” explained board member for sport, Stefan Reuter.
