1st place:
Timo Werner – 111 goals

Timo Werner was RB Leipzig’s all-time top-scorer even as he left the club in the summer of 2020 after four years to join Chelsea.

Since his return to the club at the beginning of the season, he has built on this lead and on 3rd October 2022 became the first Leipzig player to reach the 100 competitive goalsmark for the club.

This achievement from RBL’s number 11 has now been fittingly commemorated with a graffiti piece on the Wall of Fameat the Red Bull Arena. Timo now has 111 goals and a further 46 assists in just 192 games for the club.

With 0.58 goals-per-game, he also has the best goals-per-game record of any RBL player and with 87 Bundesliga goals, he is RBL’s top Bundesliga goalscorer.

Timo also has three hat-tricks, again the most of any RBL player.

2nd place:
Daniel Frahn – 93 goals

RBL number 11’s can score goals! RBL’s former captain Daniel Frahn also wore the number 11 shirt and fired RB Leipzig from the Regionalliga to the 2.Bundesliga.

The now 35-year-old, who currently plays for SV Babelsberg in the Regionalliga Nordost, always shone as a goalscorer in a RBL shirt.

If you gave him too much space, you would be punished. He picked up 93 goals in 163 competitive games, as well as 33 assists. Frahni was RBL’s top-goalscorer for four season in a row from 2011 until 2014 and was league topscorer in 2011/12 (Regionalliga Nord) and 2012/13 (Regionalliga Nordost) – the only RBL player to be league topscorer so far.

3rd place:
Yussuf Poulsen – 84 goals

Most appearances and a key part of the club. Yussuf Poulsen has been closely tied to RB Leipzig since 2013 and has scored in every season.

He has scored at least three goals in every season since 2013/14 and with 63 assists (second-best in club history) is also well-known as an assist-provider.

Yussi’s best goalscoring season came in 2018/19 when we scored 15 goals in the Bundesliga. He was the only RBL player to score in six (!) different competitions.

With twelve goals and 15 assists, he is also RBL’s top goalscorer and assist-provider in the DFB-Pokal.

4th place:
Emil Forsberg – 67 goals

Emil Forsberg has been causing opposition defences serious problems from attacking midfield since his debut in 2015.

The Sweden international has a strong shot and is a good set-pieces taker. With his late, late goal to make it 2-1 against 1. FC Union Berlin, he fired the team into the DFB-Pokal final last season, where the team were able to win the first title in their history.

He has been the man to score important and special goals for years. It was Emil Forsberg who scored the 1,000th competitive goal in RB Leipzig’s history in February 2022.

This current season, our number 10 scored in four league games in a row for the first time. Emil is also RBL’s top-goalscorer from the penalty spot, having converted 23 of his 25spotkicks and is currently on a run of eleven successful efforts in a row. His 66 assists at this point is also a club record.

5th place:
Christopher Nkunku – 64 goals

Christopher Nkunku excelled in his first two seasons at the club as a chance creator, before recently becoming a top-class goalscorer.

Especially in the 2021/22 season, he had a record-breaking season and was involved in an unbelievable 55 goals in 52 games across all competitions. Alongside 35 goals scored, RBL’s number 18 assisted a further 20 goals: A club record and the fourth-best amount in Europe.

6th place:
Marcel Sabitzer – 52 goals

Yet another goal-threat from midfield in the top 10! Marcel Sabitzer, who played for RB Leipzig between 2015 and 2021, impressed in a number of positions, above all with his threat in front of goal.

He was originally played as a second striker or right-winger, before later playing more often as an eight or a six. He picked up 42 assists alongside his 52 goals.

His brace against Tottenham in March 2020, which sent RBL through to a first UEFA Champions League last 16 game, as well as his brilliant goal against Zenit St. Petersburg in October 2019 will live long in the memory.

7th place:
Dominik Kaiser – 36 goals

Dominik Kaiser was a central player at the club for six years and led the club from the Regionalliga to the Bundesliga and finally to the UEFA Champions League.

His consistently strong performances and this special path from the fourth division into the Champions League make ‘Domme’ a club legend.

He scored 36 goals and delivered a further 38 assists in 171 appearances for RB Leipzig. Alongside his hat-trick in the promotion game to the 2. Bundesliga against 1. FC Saarbrücken in May 2014, his goal on 28th August 2016 against TSG Hoffenheim 1899 sticks in the memory, with Dominik Kaiser scoring RB Leipzig’s first-ever Bundesliga goal.

8th place:
Stefan Kutschke – 31 goals

Stefan Kutschke played in Leipzig from 2010 until 2013 and scored consistently during three Regionalliga seasons – a total of 31, including four in the Sachsenpokal.

Especially in the two Relegation games against Sportfreunde Lotte at the end of the 2012/13 season, “Kutsche” was a key player and leader of the attack. He scored a penalty in both the first leg and second leg, sending Leipzig into the 3. Liga in the process.

9th place:
André Silva – 26 goals

In just two years at RB Leipzig, André Silva has already sent himself into the top-10 list with 26 goals in 92 games. André’s record in the UEFA Champions League is particularly strong with six goals in 14 games.

Alongside this are 15 goals in the Bundesliga, four in the DFB-Pokal and one in the UEFA Europa League. This means our number 19 has scored one in at least all competitions (excluding the Super Cup).

10th place:
Willi Orbán – 26 goals

Defensive stalwart Willi Orbán‘s priority is actually in defending, but he has also popped up with several important goals in his seven and a half years at the club, especially with headers from set-piece situations.

With 26 goals, he is the highest-scoring defender in RBL’s history and is guaranteed to keep adding to his account. Willi has scored four times so far this season and could equal or even better his own record of five goals in a season across all competitions (2020/21).
