The “FC School Start Help” began surrounding the flooding catastrophe in 2021 from the FC Foundation. In total, around 2,000 backpacks were handed out in 2021 and 2022 to children who were affected by the flooding. This year, the FC Foundation want to hand out something to the kids starting school.

In August, it’s that time again. The schools in Köln will welcome the new pupils for their first school year. The FC Foundation would like to help a few of these children by giving them brand new backpacks. To make this possible, the FC Foundation are partnering with school backpack producers Scout and School-Mood. In relation to the FC School Start Help, the FC Foundation already partnered with many different backpack manufacturers.

This summer, around 300 children, who will go to school for the first time, will be given backpacks. The support is thought of for people who have a Köln-Pass. All families with a pass can sign up for the programme. The pass should then be presented when collecting the backpack.

Information for collection: 

There will be two appointments where the backpacks can be picked up. Should it not be possible to collect the backpack on both days, the opportunity to allow someone else to pick it up for you. This should be made clear in an email to stiftung@fc-koeln.de. The corresponding Köln-Pass should still be presented by the collection.

The backpacks can be picked up on the following dates:

15/5/23: 14:00 – 18:00 CEST
